Addictive iPhone Game: Galcon

This weekend I decided I’d see if there were any fun games for the iPhone. Mission accomplished.

Galcon for iPhone is a real time strategy game where the object is to eradicate the “orange” faction from the map. There are varying degrees of difficulty from Cabin Boy to Grand Admiral.

The gameplay is extremely simple, but yields enough complexity and flexibility to keep things interesting. I’m really partial to the sound effects, which may be someone making “pew-pew” noises.

There’s a free version where you may play against the computer. The paid version - $4.99 - allows network play.

I haven’t played a game this addictive since Tetris.
