Accountants Are Poison
I've never seen someone with an accounting background contribute positively to marketing.
The way they think is totally inverse to the way a good marketer thinks.
They see only what's best for their own organization. And the idea of "what's best" is driven by an obsession with balance sheets.
What you need is people who think about what's best for their customers. Agencies – any agency worth its timesheets – are good at this. Marketing focused clients are good at this.
Don't let your accountants near your marketing unless it's bills, payroll or receivables. They'll fuck it up.
